Twenty York Absolutely Loves...

Say Hello to: Jose Enrique

He is the Doctor Octopus to my Spiderman, the Magneto to my Professor X, the Joker to my Batman and the kryptonite to my Superman. I'm pretty sure he's foreign to my analogy but the point it is, one cannot exist without the other! I still remember a long, long time ago when he first walked into my class, all unassuming and unaware that we will both forge a friendship that will last through countless Spanish telenovelas, a lone public bus ride to Montréal (the horror!) and many other life's ironic challenges.

Ours was a very long history complete with its own ups and downs but what I want to tell you is that he is one of the dearest and closest individuals in my life. He is smart, funny (he'd like me to say that), impecabbly-dressed, poised and confident. If there's anyone who takes the philosophy your body is your temple so seriously, it would be him. He has the discipline of an Olympic Athlete, the sharp wit of Stephen Colbert, the passion and romance of Romeo (y'know the dude who loves Juliet), the good looks of Brad Pitt and the fiestiness of a century-old dragon!

Entonce, I know you have been eagerly waiting for his final reveal at Twenty York Street so without further frou-frou, quisiera finalmente presentarle... the dashing, the sexy, the Ken to my Barbie... Jose Enrique!

On Style and Fashion...

What and who influences your style?

Hmmm, well, very interesting... I would say no one but me influences my style I walk in a store I like it I buy it and the what... my interest of always looking modern, comfortable and why not, my sense of humor.

Where do you usually shop and why?

I usually shop and Club Monaco or Banana Republic..

What's your biggest fashion/style peeves?

Oh boy, I can write about that... hmmm... a few things... white shoes, white belt (those 2 combined: I throw up), over size clothes, dirty dress shoes, men wearing sandals without cleaning their feet, white socks, bad hair...

On Blogs and Photographs...

Do you have a background in photography?

My background is Twenty York Street, this blog...

How did you become involved in blogging?

How? my dearest crazy friend, ML, pushed me into this and I gotta say, I am liking it!

I'm nosy, what do you really do for a living? Would you rather to do photography (or something else) full-time?

Oh boy, for a living, I work in a office for the Federal Government of Canada but I would rather to photography and writing: A book, scripts, writing for a magazine and travelling.

On Lovin' Life…

What 3 things do you wish someone had told you when you were younger?

You are my favorite.
You can do it.
I like to have you around.

What keeps you going, your interests and passion?

My friends and my family keep me going, but more importantly myself, all about feeling good.

What's your take on love and relationships?

Oh boy, this just got very serious! VERY I can write a book on this subject... Let’s start by saying that I love to be in one. For some reason I don’t know, I enjoy it and I commit to it 150%, mentally and emotionally.

My take on love: it’s everything one can ask for, once you have, do not let it!

My take on relationships: hmmm... this is even more serious but I am going to try to be short and sweet. Relationships are the black or white to me, they either make you happy or unhappy, there is no grey areas here. They sometime will gives a huge headache but if we have a good one, it should be good times.

However, these days it is the most difficult thing to achieve and I think it is because people are more and more individualistic and people want the good things of both world, independence/freedom and someone special..... It does not work that way, at least not in my world. We lose some of that, that is the price we pay for being in a relationship. Unfortunately a lot of people these days do not want to pay that price, so... if you are one of those, get out of my way, be by yourself or I make sure I you are out! As it will not be pretty!

3 Things I can't live without:
1. My Mac
2. My iPhone
3. My Camera

Fill in the blanks…

Whenever I'm bored I usually: I am not usually bored; however, when that happens, I go for a walk, I go for a run, I take a nap I call my family... they do drive me loco, but they also make me laugh!

This year, I want: I want to finally take photography to a higher level, travel and really get my relationship to a different level, that will make me so happy so I can focus more other things that make me happy.
If I had superpowers, I would like to be a time traveler.
I'm thankful for - oh wow! I am thankful for all I have really, good or bad, they do make me who I am.... and for you to be reading all this answers....

I wish Twenty York Street asked me about ...

What make me happy?
What makes me mad?
Who is the love of my life?
What I like to eat? (Editor's note: What he really means is - what he doesn't like to eat...)
What I can’t resist?
What I wanted to be when I was a child?
What’s my favourite piece of clothing?

Ha ha ha ha... I have a few more, but we can answer next time Twenty York Street decides to feature me. For now, I will stay behind the lens to capture ML’s best moments!
