I kid you not, I live literally steps away from one of the biggest shopping malls in the Capital! It is absolutely convenient as that also means I am step away from anything and everything (well, almost) you could possibly need in your day! The mall is also home to a huge Sears and is connected to the biggest Canadian chain department store, The Bay, as well as it is only a heel away from the famous Byward Market. The Market is home to boutique shops, specialty food stores, outdoor stalls for fresh fruits and vegetables and is home to the city's most popular restaurants, bars and lounges.
Oh yes, it is that glorious and I haven't dreamed of moving elsewhere, much to the charign of E but that's another story. The danger of course of living so, so close is that, you are exposed to all the beauty and temptation the retail world has to offer and trust me, strong will power against all things pretty ain't something I was naturally born with. One such example is this buy, when we were all just on our way home from dinner at the food court, walking through the mall (you gotta take the scenic route and smell the leather.. err, roses) and we hit a brick wall. Additional FORTY percent OFF on top of the lowest ticketed price kinda wall! Aren't these kinds of phrases sweet dreams are made of? Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Guess - all under the mercy of the red tag!
I tried resisting, I spent at least 30 good seconds convincing everyone to just look away and keep walking... But when you are in company of even weaker-willed spirits (yes, I am talking to you LJ and Sissy!), you just have to cave in to peer pressure and buy these beauties at the incredible price of... First, let me tell you that they are originally $120.00 and second, I don't own a single animal print heels (I really don't, do I?), I thought I can afford to splurge, after 40% off and LJ's rewards card, a whopping $29 dollars after tax!
By the way, these cougar babies are from a line called Sam & Libby, I've never heard of them before but they've certainly made a great first impression. What do you think?
